Dear readers,
There is a debate about the necessity of eye creams in your skincare routine. The very scientific argument is that the ingredients of most eye creams are very similar if not the same as facial moisturizers. Then eye creams would be simply "glorified" moisturizers that cost double if not triple the price of the regular moisturizer. And then there is the very emotional argument that relies on: "Yeah but it just feels nice". And let's be honest, feeling good plays a big role in our skincare routine. So, whether you are team pro or anti-eye creams, I am just putting out there some of the best Korean eye creams I have tried over the years.
My recommendations for Korean Eye Creams:
Best Overall: Huxley Concentrate On Eye Cream ($24)
Best for Anti-Aging: Innisfree Perfect 9 Intensive Eye Cream ($25)
BesHydration: Belif Moisturizing Eye Bomb ($48)
Best for De-puffing: The Ordinary Caffeine 5% + EGCG Depuffing Eye Serum ($9)
Best Roller: Innisfree Greed Tea Seed Eye & Face Roller ($19)

Huxley is a Korean skincare brand that is dedicated to fighting skin issues caused by pollution and urban stress. The core ingredient utilized by the brand is prickly pear cactus seed oil, drawing inspiration from the Berber women of the Sahara who have traditionally relied on it to maintain skin hydration amidst the challenging environment. Entirely manufactured in Korea and cruelty-free, the Concentrate on Eye Cream has just the right amount of thickness that we like in an eye cream, glides on the skin so easily and sinks in so fast while leaving a soft glow finish. It has a soft scent of Moroccan cactus, which is the main ingredient full of ceramide complex to help strengthen the skin barrier around dry eyes. It feels super soothing and moisturizing around the eyes thanks to the prickly pear seed oil. I dearly love this product. You really notice your eye area becoming more hydrated after a few days of using this product morning and night.
2. Best for Anti-Aging: Innisfree Perfect 9 Intensive Eye Cream
Rating: 4.5 / 5
Highlights:
Creamy balm-like texture
Leaves the skin firm
Intensively nourishing
Non-sticky or greasy

Innisfree formulated their Perfect 9 Intensive Eye Cream with 9 different botanical ingredients complex harvested from Jeju Island, including a mushroom called Yeongjucho. There is actually a cute little backstory to this mushroom. According to a tale passed down through generations, the first emperor of China dispatched a representative to Jeju Island with the task of finding an elixir of youth. The iconic Halla Mountain on the island was believed to be the residence of gods, where the mushroom grows. It is from this origin that the Jeju mushroom is named "Yeongjucho," signifying "the gods' elixir of youth." Cool story right? Anyways, the Innisfree velvety eye cream is an intensive nourishing anti-ageing cream that really improves the texture of the skin, leaving it smoother and brighter.
3. Best Hydration: Belif Moisturizing Eye Bomb

After the tremendous success of their True cream - Moisturing Bomb moisturizer, Belif brought to life the Eye Bomb cream that is just as amazing as the facial moisturizer. Lightweight and refreshing, this eye cream claims to be moisturizing for 26 hours, boosting elasticity and reducing fine lines in the eye area. It is the perfect base for crease-free makeup.
4. Best for De-Puffing: The Ordinary Caffeine 5% + EGCG Depuffing Eye Serum
Rating: 4 / 5
Highlights:
Reduces eye puffiness
Reduces eyes pigmentation
Vegan
Paraben free
What we don’t like:
Drying so need to add a moisturizer on top of it
Obviously, The Ordinary is not a Korean product, everyone can agree on that fact. However, it is extremely popular in Korea and is the best product I have tried so far that really diminishes the eye's puffiness and improves a little bit the dark circles pigmentation. The Caffeine 5% + EGCG Depuffing Eye Serum contains high-solubility caffeine and green tea cathechin, ingredients that help to visibly reduce eye-contour pigmentation and puffiness. What I love about this product is the fact that you cannot feel bad about using it because it is way cheaper than typical eye creams (at least it does the trick for me).
5. Best Roller: Innisfree Greed Tea Seed Eye & Face Roller
Rating: 3 / 5
Highlights:
Compact packaging
Cooling effect
Improves eye are elasticity
Feels very hydrating
Parabens free
What we don’t like:
